What Rung stores

Your game progress, streak and settings are saved in your own browser's local storage. That data stays on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data erases it.

What our server sees

To check each move, your browser sends the puzzle date and the word you played to our server. We don't ask for your name or email, and there are no accounts.

We also keep anonymous totals for each puzzle, such as how many players started it, how many solved it, and how their step counts compared to par. These totals contain nothing that identifies you.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and reports only aggregate figures, such as page views and country.

Advertising

Rung currently shows no ads. If that changes, we'll update this page before ads appear and ask for consent where the law requires it.
